THE GO-AHEAD has been given for another section of the M25 London orbital route. The £25.3m section will take over two years to build.
It is a three-mile section between Richings Park, north of the M4 to the M40 near Gerrards Cross, and is the fourth of five sections being built between Heathrow Airport and Maple Cross, near Rickmonsworth. The M4/Poyle (Heathrow) contract will be awarded soon.
Commenting on this latest move, Transport Under Secretary Lynda Chalker said: "We are making tremendous strides towards completing the whole of the M25 in 1986."
