• Calor Gas Ltd and Powell Duffryn Ltd announce this week onclusion of an
agreement (CM May for the transfer, with effect from April 1 1972, of the share capital of Tyburn Road Tank Services Ltd from Powell Duffryn to Calor for a consideration payable in cash amounting to approximately £900,000 including the repayment of loans made by Powell Duffryn to Tyburn. This move will mean an increase of about 120 vehicles to Calor Transport which currently has two tanker fleets — one of pressure tankers and the other a non-pressure fleet that previously traded under the name of Monk ton Motors Ltd. Calor has 22 transport depots throughout the UK and also owns or has interests in, transport companies in Germany, Spain and Benelux.
