OWING to the cost and bulky nature of the equipment, operators of passenger and goods vehicles in general, do not find it convenient to make use of Neon fighting. In order to meet the demand for a simple, foolproof piece of apparatus, the Little Neoniser has been introduced by Stereoscopic Processes, Ltd., 6. Newman Street, London, W.1.
This unit, which is responsible for converting and stepping up the current from a ti-volt or 12-volt battery, measures only 81 ins. by 51 ins. by 5 ins., and it can be wired up without in any way disturbing the existing system.
As the current consumption is but 15 watts with 18 ft. of tubing in circuit, the drain on the battery is negligible. A double-output Neoniser unit is also available, the consumption then being, of course, SO watts.
In operation the Neoniser is prac822 tically noiseless, while running and upkeep costs are small. As a guide to the amount of tubing required for a given word or name, it may be mentioned that one letter, measuring 4 ins high, takes about 1 ft. of tubing.
In the form of a box sign, in sizes up to 4 It. by 9 ins, square and containing 18 ft. of tubing, the price complete is ZO lOs.
