• The five drivers from Express Dairy Co. (London) Ltd. who competed in the National finals of the Larry Driver of the Year competition at Bramcote were again demonstrating their skills on Sunday. This time it was the finals of their companys" own driving cornpetition which saw men from depots all over the Country taking part.
Three of the first six places went to national finalists although the winner was not one of them. Tommy Ince, of South Ruislip, took the top prize by the comfortable margin of 27 points. His success was not really a surprise because, although missing Brarncote this year, he has been a national finalist a number of times and as well as being overall winner at Northampton in 1968 was Express champion in 1965. D. Colvin and E. Hearn, who were placed second and third were national finalists and so was A. Forrester. the fifth man. Mr. Forrester was Express champion in 1966 and 1967 but last year's winner—P. Glynn —was not there as he has now left the company to take up a different kind of sport —car racing.
