• A new Coventry company called Trunkways (Midlands) Ltd. has been formed to act as a clearing house for road hauliers. The company, with headquarters at 1 Eaton Road. has developed from the Midland Drivers' Bureau which was formed in Coventry 11 months ago to provide local firms with an emergency pool of van and truck drivers.
Mr. J. Bull, Trunkways' managing director, said the firm will operate within the RHA's code of conduct: it would not offer a local parcels delivery service but would tackle almost any load over a minimum weight.
