1 New Specially Processed Rayotwist Cord Body
All Cords used in the Traction Hi-Miler are specially processed to remove excessive stretch before they go into the tyre. This results in a tyre with extra strength and resistance to heat and bruising, greatly minimised tread cracking and increased tyre life.
2 New and Improved Compounds
The Traction Hi-Miler is made of new and improved compounds including a new fine particle carbon black. They increase resilience, give added abrasion resistance, generate less heat which means cooler running, provide exceptional resistance to cracking and ensure greater tread life.
3 New Type Breaker
A special combination of breaxer ply widths and angles ensures maximum impact protection, reduces the risk of fractures and tyre failures.
4 New Treed Shape
This flat tread design, incorporating a greater volume of slow-wearing rubber, is only practicable because of the other new features, such as heat resistant compounds and specially processed cords. It increases tyre mileage, reduces risk of uneven wear to a minimum, and provides real stability.
5 New 'Bladed ' Tread
The bladed ' or slotted ' tread provides extra skid resistance plus extraordinary traction. It is particularly effective in resisting skid or slide on front wheels.
6 New Tread Groove Principle
A new tread groove principle, resulting from intensive study of compression and flexing, eliminates those localised areas of compression which so often resulted in cracking in the tread grooves.
7 New Balanced Ply Principle
The cords are so placed that ALL plies remain under equal tension. This ensures equal load distribution among the cords. Result : Improved tyre performance, even tyre wear, increased resistance to fatigue and bruising.
8 New Bead Construction
The outstanding reputation of Goodyear for freedom from bead trouble is further enhanced by the special dual beads of continuous high tensile steel wire. These provide a positive anchorage and increased strength and stability in this vital area.
