DART of a large order for oil-well-site equipment to I be supplied by Woodfield Rochester, Ltd., Rochester, to Yugoslavia, consists of a pair of 15-ton articulated semi-trailers for bulk-cement transport. They have been built by the Duramin Engineering Co., Ltd., Stonefield Way, Ruislip, Middx.
The base of the container body has three bays, each under separate control. The aerated cement passes through three orifices at the rear. All can be used together or separately. With all discharge points in • use and the full aeration system • operating, the load can be emptied in 10 minutes.
A Godfrey Partners K200 blower is driven by a Lister oil engine, which is mounted on a platform above the turntable. Engine and compressor unit are
protected by a removable cover. Controls are provided to prevent air build-up in the body, and a filter is mounted in the roof.
A chequer-plate walkway, 4 ft. wide, gives access to the loading hatches in the roof. Inspection of the interior of the body can .be carried out by opening the hinged panel carrying the discharge apertures.
