ASSOCIATED DAIRIES has specified the Maxaret MDR microprocessor controlled antiskid braking system for a current order for 24 thin-walled refrigerated semi-trailers from Craven Taker.
Thin walls allow two 1,200mm (47.25in) pallets to be loaded abreast within the legal maximum width of 2.5m 18ft 2.5in).
The Craven Tasker semitrailer, bodied with one-piece aluminium alloy exterior panels and reinforced-plastics interior panels, are used to carry chilled goods at about 5 degC, but can also carry deep-frozen goods.
Associated Dairies has specified Maxaret anti-skid equipment since 1980 and has more than 100 semi-trailers fitted with the earlier system. Fitting the MDR system is a logical extension of the company's existing policy.
