THIS week's prizewinner is Mr. E. .1. I Hill. of Burbage, nr. Hinckley. Leics. He points out that if a tight rear-huh inner bearing is encountered it can be removed by taking out the half shaft from that side and fitting it in reverse on the hub. By removing the half shall from the opposite side, a long bar passed
; iglu through the diff, unit to butt against the reversed half shaft can be used to shock the hub bearing free.
This method has been applied successfully to a Thames 2-3-ton normal-control lorry.
