• Manchester-based driver agency Drivernet Services is considering court action after being expelled from the recruitment industry association FIRES.
FIRES ousted Drivernet after a disciplinary hearing which was set up to address complaints about advertising in new franchise areas and concerns over franchise failure rates. FIRES chief executive Christine Little says a committee decided that Drivernet "had not met the stan
dards required of members".
But Drivernet has hit back at the charges. claiming that advertising in new franchise areas complied with the FIRES code of practice and industry norms.
The company says: "Drivernet has grave concerns over the manner in which this matter has been conducted by FRES and are presently considering their Position with a view to further action through the courts."
