• Leicester-based Pickering Transport Services has won a £250,000 contract to supply Walkers Crisps with 21 demountable swap bodies for its fleet of 220 vehicles and trailers. The new bodies will incoporate Ray Smith demountable equipment.
Pickering Transport was formed earlier this year following a management buyout from BET subsidiary United Transport. It plans to complete the work later this autumn, by which time about 20% of Walkers Crisps' vehicles will operate with swap bodies.
