AN OWN-ACCOUNT operator had its 0 licence curtailed by the South Eastern LA at Maidstone last week by the suspension of one vehicle for three months owing to poor maintenance.
Vehicle inspector Vinall told the LA of an inspection of the fleet of Turner, King and Shephard, paint manufacturer, of Cobham. In March 1975 an inspection which had attracted prohibitions was followed by another inspection in September 1975 and though one of the two vehicles inspected then was satisfactory the other was given a GV9 for four items. Despite the vehicle records being unsatisfactory on his first visit, these were now acceptable.
