Devon depot
UNITED CARRIERS Ltd has opened a new £100,000 distribution depot at Dawlish, Devon, on the Shutterton Industrial Estate.
The 1.75-acre centre will service the needs of businesses needing to regularly despatch parcels — from 10 kilos to 1 tonne — to all parts of the UK. It replaces a smaller depot at Exeter.

M58.—at last
WORK will begin this summer on the eight-mile M58 between Maghull and Skelmersdale, Merseyside, the DoE has announced.
The new motorway has been held up for three years by two public inquiries.

GROUP membership is being offered by the Continental Freight Drivers' Club for firms whose drivers spend time in Europe and Asia.
