One of the smallest gully emptlers in the UK is touring local authorities on demonstration. Based on a Bedford CF, the 590-litre (130gal) tanker has been designed for municipal use by Fergussons (Tankers) Ltd of Portsmouth. It is fitted with a fully opening rear door and a Hammond 110 compressor exhauster driven by an auxiliary engine. Pto drive is also available. The boom has a flexible 76mm (3in) hose and 1.8m (6ft) of aluminium pipe with a controlling ball-valve.
