• As London's congestion charge system was launched on Monday, CM geared up its campaign against commercial vehicles having to pay the tax. As the placard held by deputy editor Emma Penny states, CM believes the charge will only drive up prices for everyone—something Transport for London (IT) has failed to take into account. With no option but to deliver groceries, clothes and other consumer goods by lorry or van, CM 's readers have no choice but to pay this unfair charge.
