What is the best way to plan a route for an abnormal load going from, say, Bristol to Manchester?
The Highways Agency's ESDAL (Electronic Service Delivery for Abnormal Loads) is a new system that simplifies the process of notifying abnormal load movements.
The system allows operators to plan the best route and obtain details of the organisations they must notify before making the movement.
The RHA has its own specialist heavy haulage group to promote the interests of members and to provide information.
