• The implications of taking a coach or minibus with more than nine seats abroad and how and where to obtain the special journey control document is explained in a leaflet published by the Department of the Environment this week.
The leaflet, Int P3, is available free on request from the DoE, PUPT2 Division 2, Marsham Street, London SW1P 3EB, or from any traffic areas office. European Economic Community Regulations 117/66 and 1016/68, which govern international journeys by coach and minibus came into operation on July 1. They apply to all vehicles adapted to carry nine or more passengers no matter how many passengers are actually carried and the special journey control document must be carried throughout the journey whether privately or commercially organized.
