From IXP comes a security lock — the Ellis-IXP Model BBA — suitable for fitting to all types of door including single, double, hinged, sliding, folding and roller shutter types. Designed for industrial, shop or warehouse applications, the lock can also be employed to secure a garage door. Double staples are provided with each lock which increases the difficulty of forced entry. There are no staples, screws, bolts or hinges that can be forced open.
The boss and a revolving shroud, which envelopes the key entry, are of cyanide-case-hardened steel and are corrosionproof. It is claimed that the lock cannot be opened by conventional lock-picking tools or be drilled out. Moreover, the key cannot be copied without special tools, which are unavailable to anyone except the manufacturer.
All Ellis-IXP locks have been fully inspected by crime prevention authorities, including Scotland Yard and the ABIS, the insurance companies' security assessors.
Model BBA supplements the Ellis-IXP range of Boss Locks which can be fitted to conventional hasps and staples, and like all Ellis-IXP locks has keyowner registration.
Price: from £12.00.
