THIRTY PER CENT.`of the vehicles in the special Scottish list Sc.3 have been sold. Final results are as follows: Sold, 6 units (219 vehicles); all tenders rejected, 9 units (210 vehicles); no bids, 8 units (262 vehicles); total, 23 units (691 vehicles).
The next results to be announced will be those for list 10, for which tenders close next Wednesday.
On the same day, list 11, consisting of about 1,330 vehicles in 823 vehicleonly units, will be issued.
MORE CHEAP PLEASURE TRIPS E'ROM Sunday, London Transport are I to run special non-stop buses at cheap fares on 99 routes from the suburbs to popular open-air resorts in the London area every Sunday and on Bank Holidays during the summer. Last year, when 40 fewer routes were served, 103,000 passengers were carried. It is expected that some 250,000 will use the services during 1955. Seats on the buses can be pre-booked.
