his cub by angry French farmers who destroyed his £20,000 load of strawberries earlier this month thinking they were imports—but they were coming from Spain to Kent.
The Gloucestershire driver was forced to stop when the farmers, who were complaining about cheap food imports, laid spikes on the road outside Bordeaux.
"They told me to get out, then smashed the lock off the back, pulled the load out and poured diesel over it and burnt it," says Driscoll.
