OLLOW IN 0 a comprehensive re-routeing of bus services within the borough last year, Mr. N. McDonald, general manager of Warrington Corporation, announces in his annual report that the undertaking made a saving of £20,000 over the year. The total income was £373,728 and the operating costs £353,711.
Mr_ McDonald expressed disappointment that the planned centralizing of the department's offices, workshops and garage at the WilderspooI Depot had not yet taken place. This is the only measure in the reorganization of the department not yet carried out.
The report states that 29 buses have completed 400,000 miles with their original engines.
LATE BUSES EXPERIMENT LATE Saturday night buses are being run as an experiment on 18 routes by the Bradford Transport Department to find whether there is any demand.
