A VOLVO VERSION of the Renault Midlum light truck range will be launched in the first half of next year, according to engineers within the Volvo Group.
Next spring Renault plans to launch a Euro-4 Midum, with new Deutzdeveloped fiveand seven-litre engines and revamped cab interior. Expect a Volvo version with a slightly restyled cab to replace the ancient FL range.
Renault showed the exterior design for Midlum at the Premium launch; the Volvo version is likely to get a similar makeover and they might have different power options too.
A revised LF range is set to debut at the end of March 2006, according to Daf MD Aad Goudriaan. "There's no real demand for Euro-4 vehicles in the light truck sector as there are no incentives, but we have the vehicle ready and it will be available," he adds. "It will feature a new interior, will benefit from some exterior changes and will be equipped with SCR technology."
