Road Transport (Working Time) Regulations 2005:4 April 2005 These regulations implement the EU Directive that applies specific rules on working time to drivers and crew of vehicle operations subject to tachograph regulations. These include a 48-hour average week; a 60-hour weekly cap; a 10-hour limit for night workers and breaks from work. It also applies the EU rules on daily and weekly rest for all in-scope workers.
The Information and Consultation of Employees Regulations 2004. CIF 6 April 2005, 2007 & 2008 Implement the EU directive giving employees the right to be informed and consulted about the business. They apply to companies with 150 or more employees from 6 April 2005; 100 or more from 2007 and 50 or more from 2008.
The Motor Vehicles (Wearing of Seathells) (Amendment) Regulations 2005. CIF 1 March 2005 Qualify the exemption from wearing a belt for delivery drivers to a journey which does not exceed 50m and is made for delivery or collection.
