Trhen townies move to the countryside they often imagine the only sound they will hear from then on will be the twittering of bird song and the bleating of new-born lambs. Wrong! The country side is a working environment from where businesses are run and this can often lead to conflict with neighbours who are new to the district. So John Mervyn Pugh, Traffic Commissioner for the West Midland area, was particularly pleased when he spotted this notice outside a farm in Aldwark in Yorkshire. He tells me it demonstrates good sense and neighbourliness and that he would recommend his operators to follow suit. I fully concur. A little consideration goes a long way.
