Ask your supplier for the right compromise between durability and rolling resistance for your application.
Actual improvements recorded have been between 0.15mpg (1.57%) and 0.87mpg (9.07%) Energy-efficient tyres have optimised rolling resistance, hut their lifespan will be roughly 20% shorter. FBP says such tyres cut CO, by 5,112kg over one year on trunking or £1,836 a year. Typically, energy efficient tyres on a 4x2 will cost an extra 30p/km but could save 70p/km.
