TE-IE two largest applications to be notified this week come from the West Midland and the Eastern area. Put forward on the basis of a contract A to A licence switch, Taylor's Transport, of Lichfield, seeks a new licence for 16 tippers, which includes five to he hired, to carry a variety of tippable goods within 200 miles.
A Sutton (Isle of Ely) applicant, Darhy's Sand and Gravel Co. Ltd., has applied for a new B licence in respect of 14 vehicles to carry what is loosely termed "goods in connection with road works" within East Anglia,
