THE DESIGN of Coachwork Conversions range of dropsiders in the up to 7.5 tonne weight category have been further refined.
Now known as Maxitruck,. they have a smbother appearance, with the dropside and tailboard panels incorporating a flush mid-height rib.
Although the Coachwork Conversions aluminium extrusion Plank floor is still optional, the standard hardwood floor has been replaced by a lighter phenolic resin-coated —containerdeck" ply floor. Along with removable pillars, galvanised steel raves, flush hinges and flush fitting over centre latches are some maxitruck features.
There are.five different body lengths available 2.44, 3.05, 3.7, 4.3 and 4.8m (8ft, 10ft, 12ft 2in, 14ft and 15ft 9in), with the three longest having double dropsides.
A rationalisation of chassis length dimensions by manufacturers allows, for example, the 4.8m (15ft 9in) dropside to be used on most non hgv 7,5 ton chassis.
. Coachwork Conversions have area depots at Uxbridge and Wednesfield.
