LACK of co-ordination between public utilities adds to traffic chaos. In Scotland and imaginative experimental service, SUSIE, has been set up to combat this.
The idea is that the gas, water, electricity and Post Office engineers, before starting road works, consult the Scottish Underground Service Information for Excavators, which then has the task of co-ordinating work.
