iy CM reporter )NLY the fraught issue of .ontinued blacking by Lockers of certain road haulge companies now stands in he way of peace in London's fockland. This was made lear at a mass meeting of ockers on Monday which oted overwhelmingly to ontinue the strike.
The dockers want to coninue their "Cherry lossom" list blacking withut being subject to disiplinary action.
A mass picket of Dagen ham Storage was due to take place on Wednesday and it was there that the date of the next mass meeting was to be announced.
Union officials — who have been trying unsuccessfully to persuade the men to end their unofficial action — are expected to meet the employers soon. But more concrete peace hopes are pinned on a report being prepared by the Government's Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service.
