CENTAUR Electronics Systems of Oldham displayed its latest computer-based electronic fleet transport fuel security systems at the Co-operative Security Services Association held at Scarborough.
The exhibition featured Centa u r's Fuelsafe system as installed at the £12m Co-op transport complex at Shieldhall, Glasgow.
There, the system monitors the fuel usage and provides computerised accounting for the 150-vehicle fleet which supplies the Scottish CWS's various departments.
Each driver has a personal key which allows him to fill his vehicle from the specially adapted fuel pumps. His vehicle account is then automatically updated and the information computed to give accurate data on individual and fleet fuel usage.
