A BUS operator has been summoned
at Amble, Northumberland, for failing to run his service along the whole of the scheduled route, and for working what he alleged was a duplicate vehicle on a Saturday evening, when, in_ fact, duplication along the whole of the route war permitted only from Monday. to Friday.
The chairman of the magistrates stated that they took a serious view of the case, and fined the operator £10, inclusive of costs. It was added that, if the operator was again brought before the magistrates for a further breath of licence conditions, he would be fined the maximum of i20.
