• Lorry drivers who had come forward to admit their own involvement in "Deplorable acts of fly-dumping" of cyanide were acclaimed on Monday by Sir Frank Fraser, a leading conservationist, when he delivered the Basil Henriques Memorial Lecture to 400 delegates at the National Association of Boys Clubs at Reading, Berks.
He said: "This is the beginning of a sense of responsibility which must grow from the boardrooms of industry through the works chemists to the lorry drivers doing the final handling".
