Labour shortages in transport are among the worst in British industry, says Reed Personnel Services, with only the computer industry coming close to the shortage faced by hauliers As a result the agency's driving subsidiary, Reed Driving, is planning to attract more labour by linking up with driving schools across the country. The biggest shortage is among van drivers of vehicles over 7.5 tonnes and category C and D LGV drivers.
