THE SPIRIT of Christmas caught up with the London Transport Managers Club last week. At the Hanover Grand, 274 members and guests gathered for their annual Christmas dinner. One guest, R. A. Mulrey, chairman of Cyprien-Fox Transport and vice-chairman of Queens Park Rangers, found the company in charitable mood, collecting £100 for the "Toys for Children" fund. And most of the hauliers present were Millwall supporters!
Despite information to the contrary Jack Scrivvens, the chairman, tells me that the members are not asking for a castle for Christmas.
