PLAXTONS has reported a dramatic drop in profits for the first half of the year. Group profits have plummetted from £868,000 to £245,000.
Much of the drop is attributed to the coachbuilding division where overtime working needed to overcome production lost during last year's industrial dispute.
Profit margins were already tight owing to the company's need to fight off continental competition.
