after pulling three people to safety from an exploding motorway cafe near Eynatten on the Belgian/German border, Alan Sharpe from Nottingham and John Pif-f from Swindon were personally thanked for their bravery by King Albert of Belgium who visited the scene. A British driver was among the 16 killed.
