WALES HAULIER TRP Logistics, which traded as T&R Phillips Transport, is to be liquidated.
David Hill and Peter Dewey, of Begbies Traynor, were appointed as liquidators on 8 August. The haulier specialised in abnormal and out-sized loads, as well as services for the aviation industry. Hill says: “The directors of the business cited increased fuel costs, which they were unable to pass onto their customers, rendering several contracts unprofitable [as a key reason for going into liquidation]. This, combined with debts and family ill health, meant the business was no longer viable.” CM contacted T&R Phillips and were told that directors Sharon and Ian Phillips were “on holiday”.
The firm held an O-licence for 30 vehicles and 25 trailers, which has been revoked. It was also a member of Pall-Ex, however the network has no comment to make on the appointment of liquidators.
