CUMMINS became the leading engine supplier for eight wheelers in the UK for the first time last month with a total of 46 registrations of 10-litre powered vehicles.
That figure does not include an LTA-10 290 powered Foden S108 which was registered on February 1.
It was supplied by North Riding Garages to DLC Transport of Hartlepool and is the first vehicle in the UK fitted with Eaton's new Twin Splitter gearbox (CM, July 21, 1984) to go into service with an operator.
The aluminium alloy body was supplied by Stanley Tippers of Aycliffe, County Durham.
