• The long-awaited British relief convoy to earthquakestricken Armenia will leave on I March. The trip will take between 11 and 14 days, and the route will be through West and East Germany, Poland and Russia: an approximate round trip of 14,500km (9,000 miles).
Eurotrux, Trans Am Trucking, Freight Cargo, Fransen Transport (UK), and Peter Gilder and Sons are the hauliers involved.
Commercial Motor will be travelling with the trucks and will be giving the full story in the issues of CM 30 March and 6 April.
