• North-East hauliers who paid high prices for diesel due to a price cartel can now sue for the losses they incurred, following a ruling by the Restrictive Practices Court this week.
The 17-strong cartel operated during 1989 and was investigated by the Office of Fair Trading (CM 17-23 May 1990).
