Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

legal news section (CM 915 May), I would like to state that we totally refute the claims made by Paul Aldren that he has been pressurised by Entwisles Haulage to falsify tachograph records or break any laws. Furthermore, we reimburse all drivers an amount for parking for every night they are away from base.

These allegations have been made in order to influence the court so that his punishment is reduced. During a routine inspection, an officer of the Vehicle Inspectorate discovered that Aldren had falsified his tachograph records. The officer stated that he would not be taking any action against the company.

Detailed information has been forwarded to the Traffic Commissioner contesting these claims against the company and welcoming any contact made concerning this matter.

Aldren's worksheets showing his claims for parking have also been sent, with confirmation of payment.

Caroline Entwisio, Director/company secretary.
