It's a strange thing, don't you think, that haulage seems to have a second-class image? If you mention that you are involved in haulage often the fact is passed over quickly or people feel sorry for you.
It goes along the same lines with the fuel crisis. To begin with the hauliers were praised as being wonderful, upstanding members of the community trying to improve things for everyone, notjust themselves.
Now suddenly with the government's use of the media we have turned into money-grabbing, self-centred, devil-maycare people trying to climb over pensioners and vulnerable people to line our own nests.
