Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The series of Commercial Motor one-day seminars on Manpower Efficiency and Fleet Efficiency reaches the North in the coming two weeks. The manpower seminar will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne on April 30 and in Leeds on May 7. This covers the principal effects of operators' licensing—especially in respect of C-licensees—and the plans for transport managers' licensing. It also takes a look at training and education, and the relationships of operators with the various industrial training boards.

The fleet efficiency seminar (Newcastle April 29, Leeds May 6) is in two parts. The first explains the effect of recent legislation upon the engineering side of road transport— notably the statutory maintenance requirements—while the second suggests a blueprint for efficient fleet maintenance.

Details of these and other seminars in the series and application forms, are readily available from the Conference Administrator, Business and Industrial Training Ltd, 18 Exeter Street, London WC2, phone 01836 2641.
