• Dominion Oils has bought an ERF six-wheeler fitted with a steering rear axle, giving it a turning circle of just 14.0m. The 26-tonne E58 6x2 tanker has a Cummins C-Series engine rated at 300hp.
It will be used for delivering heating oil to rural customers.
The rear steering axle, fitted with single wheels, sits on a Hendrickson bogie; its effective wheelbase is 3.83m with an outer axle spread of 5.24m.
