POLICE HAVE issued a warning to the public not to buy any bacon or kebab meat offered to them following the theft of a refrigerated trailer in Merseyside.
The trailer was stolen between 12pm on 12 February and 8.30am on 14 February from an industrial unit in Cornwall Street, St Helens; it contained £30,000 worth of bacon and kebab meat in 2.7kg catering packs.Howeverit's highly likely that the packs will have been broken down to be sold on.
The meat could pose a health risk as it will have defrosted. Contact: Merseyside police on 0151 777 6969
