LIKE Christmas card manufacturers, the makers of snow-clearance equipment .are in full activity just about the time other folk are setting off for their holidays. Some of them have been confiding to me recently that their main difficulty is to raise the interest of prospective purchasers in sufficient time for the equipment to be ready for the winter snowfalls. In this field, Dennis recently acquired Mercury Snow Control Ltd. so Mercury Snow Blowers are being supplied through the Dennis organization, a further widening of that company's extensive interest in municipal work. Incidentally, as many will remember, Dennis have recently
developed a differential locking mechanism to overcome traction problems in slippery conditions.
