A LORRY driver who made I entries in his record book exceeded his permitted wor day has been fined magistrates at Woolw South-East London.
Paul Melvin Randall Plumstead, London SE pleaded guilty to two sopa charges of unlawfully ma false entries on October 7 at last year. He also pleaded °I to exceeding his permii working day while travelling tween Wiltshire and his Lon base.
Mr Randall's vehicle was $. at Willoughby, Wiltshire, anc discrepancies in hours discovered. It was alleged he exceeded his permit working day by about 12 hou He was asked in court whe his employer instructed hin carry out the illegal act anc replied: "They more or leave it up to us".
He accepted full responsit for the three offences, that and was fined £15 for each was also ordered to pay £2C wards the cost of the pros' tion.
Randall no longer works the same company, which not named in court.
