• Irish rescue vehicle manufacturer Timmoney Group says it is on the brink of a major export deal with the Teledyne Corporation of California.
Timmoney Group hopes the American rescue vehicles will use its axles: "We have been negotiating for over a year," it says. The Irish manufacturer is competing for a share of a deal which, it says, is worth up to $500 million.
Teledyne Corporation has so far declined to comment on the proposed deal.
