POLICEARE HUNTING a gang of thieves who hijacked a truck and made off with a £22,000 load of biscuits in Merseyside.
The attack happened at about 6pm on 2 March. The driver was travelling along Knowsley Lane, Huyton when a white van forced the truck to stop. The occupants dragged the driver from his cab and bundled him into the back of the white van while the truck and its contents were stolen.
The driver was released, shaken but unhurt. The offender who drove the van is described as white, oft, with a stocky build and short black hair. He was wearing a black jacket and spoke with a Liverpool accent. There is no description of the other two hijackers.
The load included Cadbury Fingers, Jammie Dodgers, mini Jammie Dodgers and Caledonian shortbread biscuits.The trailer had the Burtons livery featuring the Wagon Wheels logo.
