IN JANUARY Paccar revealed its plans to build a $400m (£203m) engine manufacturing plant and technology centre. Now the US giant, that owns Dd, has revealed that the factory will be built in Columbus, Mississippi.
Construction on the 37,000m2 plant is scheduled to start in the next few weeks; it is due to open in 2009. It will manufacture Paccar's 12.9 and 9.2-litre diesel engines, which are used in Daf. Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.
